An oily skin facial mask helps to reduce oily skin, shrinks pores, and ultimately prevents pimples or acne. The facial recipes below use all natural ingredients for those who desire natural skin care for their oily skin problem.
Yogurt Mask
Apply natural unflavored yogurt to the face. Honey and/or oatmeal may be added if desired. Leave on the skin for about 15 minutes and then rinse off with clean warm water.
Lemon and Egg Oily Skin Facial Mask
Squeeze half a lemon and mix the juice with one beaten egg white. Apply to the face avoiding the area around the eyes. Leave on the face for about 15 minutes. Rinse with warm water.
Tomato Facial Mask
Apply mashed or sliced tomatoes to the face for about 15 minutes to reduce the size of skin pores.
Apple Oily Skin Facial
1 medium size apple, grated fine 5 tablespoons of honey
Mix the grated apple and the honey well. Smooth over the skin and let sit for 10 minutes. Rinse off with cool water.
Citrus-Yogurt Mask for Oily Skin
1 cup of plain yogurt
1 teaspoon of freshly squeezed lemon juice
1 teaspoon of freshly squeezed orange juice
1 teaspoon of carrot juice
Mix the yogurt, lemon juice, orange juice, and carrot juice together. Apply the mixture to the face and leave it on the skin for about 10 to 15 minutes. Rinse the mask off with warm water and pat dry the face with a clean towel.
Note: Masks (homemade or otherwise) should stay on for 10-15 minutes, should follow with a thin layer of moisturizer.
